Batia Vineyards is proud to introduce a 2017 vintage involving the blending of two Rhone Varietals, Roussanne with its most favored varietal companion, Viognier.

The Grenache Blanc grape, a widely planted but rarely acknowledged Southern Rhone-style varietal, is the white variant of the better known Grenache Noir. It produces wines with full body, good acidity and flavors of citrus, anise, and green apple.

Rhone-Style Varietals Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Marsanne have been blended to achieve the fruity floral aroma and wonderful minerality with complex blending of flavors. Hints of citrus, pear and honeysuckls assure a perfect pairing with Chilean Sea Bass, Salmon, Shellfish, Chicken, Pork and Veal.

Blend of two white varietals, 65% Roussanne and 35% Marsanne, comprises this wine producing flavors of spice, pear, and nut.
